I've been listening on a Police scanner. The MIT Police Officer who was shot has died on the way to the hospital.

Reports of massive amounts of federal investigators (FBI & ATF) on scene with Boston & federal law enforcement taking over investigations.

News reporters going on and on about it not being normal. Keep saying it's odd that there's such a massive federal presence.

So what are we looking at anyway? I reckon a lot of the media are disappointed it's not some sort of Al Qaeda splinter or something, politicians too.

Latest reports are the black hat bomber was killed in the police shootout. White hat still at large. Still don't know who the naked guy was. What a crazy night. I'm disappointed the one bomber was killed, death is too good for these guys. Definitely not any kind of criminal geniuses, that's for sure.

I think the fact the bombing took place on tax day was the first clue.

An MBTA Police Officer (Transit Police) was also shot during this incident, He's in critical condition. The suspects were tossing bombs out of here vehicle while being pursued. There is a 20 block area in Watertown Ma that is on lock down while the hunt for suspect #2 is being hunted. Police request that everyone remain indoors and not open the doors unless it is a Police Officer.

Unexploded devices are spread around Watertown That's the true reason for the lock down.

Living it is pretty dodgy as well. My Boston location in my User CP is "the" Boston where all this is happening not a nearby community. Everything with the exception of the Watertown portions of this is within walking distance of where I live or work.

7 News reports the MBTA is suspending service. Police are concerned the suspect could escape that way. update; It's been officially verified by T officials. All Public Transit Service in Boston has been suspended.

All Watertown businesses are being asked to remain closed. The Chief of Police wants everyone off the streets as soon as possible.

All vehicle traffic into and out of Watertown has been suspended. SWAT team members are going door to door in Watertown searching and clearing houses,

Name of "white hat" - Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, of Cambridge, Mass.

Two suspects are brothers, originally from Chechnya. In US for a few years by way of Kazakhstan. Older brother (black hat) known to be "very religious" Muslim, former boxer, and student.

That's true .Chechens fight Russians traditionally. The Governer and several Police department heads wete just on and suggested that the entire city of Boston remain home with the doors locked. That doesn't bode well for the search effort to me.

Latest is that they've surrounded a house and the video feeds are on a delay to avoid showing anything 'too violent' .. so it sounds like they may have the second one cornered.
