Hadn't heard that. I know they were apparently tossing explosive around like confetti during the car chase so I guess it's not too much of a stretch :(

I hope he hasn't got any hostages in there :eek:

EDIT: just heard that someone claiming to be his father claims the remaining one is a med student! WTF?!

So is can it be confirmed that this shooting is linked with the bombing? And did the shooting escalate after I went to bed or what? last I heard was one officer was in the hospital critically injured, and they had no info on the shooter.
 
Yeah, it's been confirmed that the dead suspect was the 'black hat' bomber. The one who is still at large is the 'white hat' suspect.

Just read something about details of a car being given out, so maybe he wasn't cornered earlier after all :(
 
Well before I believe the hype I will wait for the official news to break on the FBIs website, as they mentioned in a statement the other day, after false accusations made by the newyork post.
They would have to be extremely not smart to go out in public and rob a place and begin shooting at police. Unless they wanted to get caught. Last night as I watched the breaking news on the shooting I was thinking to myself what if it were one of the same suspects from the bombing.
 
It was 'extremely not smart' to still be in US days after the bombings, but then if they had been smart, they wouldn't have blown people up.

EDIT: the car has now been found. Don't know if that means it was a bum lead or that the suspect heard they were looking for it and abandoned it :confused:

ugh...can't make out exactly what's happening...Swat team sirens etc...police moving to different location close by? more gun fire in two different locations ?
 
If it is another shoot out with the white hat suspect I hope they get him alive, I want him to answer to his actions and answer what everyone wants to know.. why
