i recently download the updated version of miui rom for the prevail. eveything seems to be working fine but my phone often reboots itself and its kind of getting anyoing now, what can be causing this problem?
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
Download a new copy of the ROM and place it on your sd card. Boot into recovery, factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik, flash the ROM, go to advanced and select reboot recovery, fix permissions, and then let the phone boot back up completely before messing with it. Run the phone without making any tweaks or anything for awhile and see how it does.
You may have gotten a bad download, files got corrupted somehow, etc, etc, etc, etc. The list goes on and on. Instead of spending hours troubleshooting, just do a fresh install and be done with it. If you use Titanium Backup to restore any apps, DO NOT RESTORE ANY DATA!!
Hope that helps.
Thanks for the help right now everything is running smooth and phone hasn't rebooted the whole day so this definitly works!
If that's the one from blove! Yeah... I was a beta tester as well. Now to my point... do you use a custom kernel? Do you overclock? I noticed when I'd OC high enough it would put a strain on my cpu and I'd get a reboot all the time. Something to think (and be weary) of.
yea it was from blove. And no i dont use a custom kernel, i guess there is no offical working rom for miui but does it help if i do use a custom kernel like kouma for this rom, would it improve its technicalities?
Sure it helps. Custom kernels are tweaked for the best performance. I use one just about every chance I get. They also give more options for governors and I/O settings.
