Help MMS are not resized properly

cachirro

Lurker
When i try to send an MMS, and select a picture to attach, it is resized to around 900Kb, and then gives me an error on send.

i've tried to send a small picture and it is sent ok.

so, how do i configure the phone to make it resize the pic to the correct size?

thanks.

You don't, you send pictures of the maximum size or smaller. If the picture is too large it's probably not something you should be sending by MMS anyway, but you can resize it in a picture editor and hope for the best. (You'll lose detail at the very best. You'll also lose quality. If you want to send a picture with the original quality, email it. If it's too large for that, post it on a picture posting site and email link to it. You can't ship a dresser in a matchbox.)

I know i have to lose quality in the photo, but that's not important to the task ahead, the question was technical, not practical.

All my previous phones reduced the photo to MAX MMS supported size, no matter what, i didn't had to use any external tool or manual process, just attack, auto resized, send, easy as pie.

There must be some hidden configuration that tells the phone to do this, all i need is to set that value properly.
