Hi

I am charged for MMS that I have never sent. The numbers to whom MMS are sent are nowhere in my phonebook. Also I got a call from unknown number stating that she had received mms from my number. She also forwarded the MMS picture to me. I need suggestion as in what should I do? Is there any option to block outgoing MMS from my number? (android phone MOTO G2). Do I need to log a complain regarding same? Please suggest..

You could check with your carrier, some can disable all MMS for a phone number.

There might be a texting app in the Play Store that lets you turn off MMS, but I haven't looked for that feature before.
Thnx...any need of taking legal actions??? (police complain???)

Could go to the police station, make a statement or do a crime report, that's about it I think. If it's coming from overseas, nothing can be done really.

Police is not ready to take complain...they are asking to go to cyber crime department. Is that the right step?

At this point if I were you I'd be more concerned with stopping it from happening again than I would about putting in a police report, as Mike said, they probably aren't going to be able to do much, and you are going to waste more of your time than what the mms cost you. I think you should take it up with your carrier as Kate said, see if you can get them to do something about it not happening again and maybe even giving you your money back!

Definitely speak to your carrier. It's not obvious to me that this is even coming from your phone, just that it's appearing to come from your number. So I would ask your carrier to investigate.

If your carrier uses a separate APN for MMS and you can edit that on your phone then you could stop your phone sending MMS, if that is where they are coming from.

Thnx a lot guys...I checked with the carrier guy..he is unable to stop as its inbuilt in phone. I checked the phone settings but culdn't find any option to stop only MMS. I got my charges waived off by the service provider.
