Help MMS Group Chat in Native Messaging App

Hi everyone,
I received my Galaxy S3 yesterday in the mail, and it is amazing. I was exploring all of the settings and menus, when I came across the option to enable MMS group texting in the native texting app. I enabled the option, and shot out a group MMS to my brother (he has an S3) and my mom (she has an iPhone). Both my brother and mom received the text in MMS group format, and it worked fine. My brother was able to send a message in the thread, and it worked like fine. But, when my mom sent me a message from her group thread I did not receive it in the group thread on my S3, I received it as if she had sent me a MMS. I had to download the text to even see it, and it never appeared in our original MMS group thread. I was wondering if there is any fix to this? I want to receive group messages from iPhones in the S3's MMS group thread.

Thanks,
Kevin

P.S. I know about GoSMSPro and Handecent. I want to be able to group MMS chat from the native app.

P.P.S. If I need to clarify anything, PLEASE reply. I am trying to figure this out, and any help would be appreciated.

Hey guys first post. Recently I switched from the iOS to ICS and the transformation has been amazing but I am still trying to learn a lot of the settings and I have a question on MMS group messaging. My old phone put a group chat in a different box but yesterday my cousin sent a message in the group chat and it sent directly to me and I wasn't able to open that message into the group chat. Now the first picture is the screen from my cousins Razr Maxx and it seems to be working fine on his. And the second one is the message my cousin sent in the MMS chat but instead it just sent it to me and not MMS group. How do I fix it?

You can check who the message was sent to if you check the message details. It sounds to me like your mother did not activate threading feature on her phone.

If mms group chat is important, you may want to consider switching to the iPhone. I love my android, but when it comes up mms chat, every is has android beat. Sometimes when we're group chatting with 10+ people the chat goes so fast that my go sms freezes and fc.
