Help MMS Issue - ATT

I just replaced my HTC Vivid with a Motorola Atrix HD. Here is my main complaint... Before on the HTC Vivid I could keep my mobile data off and "background data" enabled and I would receive and download MMS messages automatically with no problems. Now on my new Atrix, It will not allow me to send or receive MMS messages without enabling Mobile Data. I literally gives me a popup messages telling me to enable mobile data. I don't really understand this, considering the MMS message doesn't count toward my 300mb of data. Its pretty annoying having to enable mobile data every time I want to send or receive a picture. Does anybody know of a work around with this? Does it have to do with the APN settings?

As far as I know, there is no way around it. I've just grown accustomed to turning on data manually when I need to send/receive data. I'll look into it some more, but I don't think there is a workaround.
 
I was able to create a profile in Tasker that allowed me to receive MMS with data disabled (it enables data automatically), but I can't find a way to set up a profile that will enable data automatically when I want to send one. I'll poke around more after work.
