MMS issues

Whenever I recieve and download an MMS on my HTC Hero for Sprint, it automatically goes to the top of the chat thread. So rather than having it as my most recent message (appearing on the bottom of the thread), it goes to the top once downloaded. Ive tried looking for settings in handcent and the stock messages, but no settings that I have seen to change this. Is there something that I am missing that would allow me to change this? Or is it just not possible.

This happens to me too, have you tried another alternative sms app like chompsms.

Alternatively , why not email the developer of handcent and chomp and see if they are willing to update this
