MMS not working Go SMS Pro & Moto G (third generation)

Since switching phones to the MotoG from a Samsung, and restoring a backup of Go SMS, I am having trouble receiving MMS's. I just get a text bubble that says the date, when it expires, size..and a "download". When I try to download it says it fails, or can't right now. I've tried switching the "system" to "legacy" and back, but still no love.
When sending MMS's, I have to use the GO MMS, if I use the regular MMS option it fails to send.
txts work fine..When I use the built in Messages app, I can send and receive. Are there any set up tips anyone knows or I missed? Is it conflicting with "Messages"? Any help / ideas would be appreciated - I am tearing my hair out over here.

My carrier (VirginMobile) is of no help, since the service works (from their end)

If your MMS messages are saying download, which won't work, most likely the APN details are absent or incorrect, and so need to be re-entered. It's quite a common problem.

ahh man, I wish I would have known! I lost about a months worth of text's trying to figure this out. And wiping my phone). How do you find your carriers info? I'm on Virgin Mobile

It should be this, found in another AF thread. :thumbsupdroid:
Generic Virgin settings:
<apn type="mms" apn="0" mnc="490" mcc="311" carrier="Virgin Mobile US" mmsport="81" mmsproxy="205.239.233.136" mmsc="http://mmsc.vmobl.com:8088/mms?" port=""/>

If those are wrong, you'll have check with Virgin Mobile. Likely on their website somewhere.

When you swap phones, sometimes you have to re-setup the APN details yourself. Sometimes it is automatic.
