MMS notification with mobile network off

searched and searched couldn't find anything on this. i leave my network off to conserve the battery. but the mms will show in my sms threads but wont notify me unless i have the mobile network on.

is there any fix? seems like if it knows i have an mms without the network on it should know to notify me. my whole family has heros ( 7 including me ) and its the same for everyone

You saying it notifies you of SMS, but not MMS? I keep mobile network off too, when I get an MMS it does the same thing as SMS. I just have to go switch on data before I can see what it is. Check your settings in your messenger to make sure you don't have anything checked wrong.

yes it notifies me of sms but not mms (no sound or notification led) unless network is on but still shows up in the thread either way

delivery reports unchecked
auto retrieve tried checked and unchecked with same result
roaming auto retrieve unchecked
priority setting normal
maximum message size 1m
notifications checked
vibrate checked

i dont know what other settings there are

still couldn't find a fix for the default sms app. using handcent now since it notifies me of mms with data off
