Help MMS Picture Question

Why is it sometimes when someone texts me a pic they took with their phone does it come in as an MMS slideshow?

Is there a way for the pic to just be in the thread at full resolution?

I'm using the GS3 with Jelly Bean from Kies, with the stock messaging app.

The phone they sent it from sent it as a slideshow so your phone shows it as such.

You can long press the photo and it will save it to your phone. Gallery can then view it and you can zoom in and out and edit it like normal.

Most phones should send a single photo as a photo but some think you are sending multiple ones and it puts it into slideshow format. There is not standard on this.

Try a different messenger app and it'll show up different. Go sms I believe doesn't show up as a slideshow. Just make sure you're have it as default or you'll get two different notifications. Also handcent from the Google playstore.
