Help MMS problems

So I'm in a group message with people x and y. I get every MMS message from person y, but I only get picture MMS from person x. No matter what we do, I cannot download text MMS messages from person x even though I can download picture MMS messages from person x. Person y has no problem receiving any type of MMS message from person x. I don't know what the problem is. My APN is flawless. I've literally quadruple checked APN and messenger settings. Anybody know how to help? If it helps, I'm using AT&T OnePlus One, person x is using AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6, and person y is using AT&T iPhone 6. Thanks in advance!
 
According to the post it's all working with the iPhone user 👍, it's the S6 owner (x) where text-only MMS aren't working.

Does person x receive messages from you ok? And do you receive nothing, or do you receive a notification of a message that you can't download? Have you checked x's settings too?
 
iPhone person has to fix their settings, they are set up for iMessage only it seems. Have them go into settings, they have to enable 'MMS messaging' and 'group MMS' and make sure mobile data is on. That should take care of things.

edit: just read @Hadron's post, he has better reading comprehension that I do apparently. lol. But I'm still blaming Apple. Or maybe Samsung. Or both :p

Something I know about iMessage: Basically green chat bubbles are good and are SMS, blue chat bubbles are bad and those only go to other iMessage users.

I blame Apple for being non-standard and proprietary.
