Help MMs problems

Newbie
I have a unlocked nexus on at&t, and some sometimes when ppl send me a picture message..

The download button will appear, and ill click download, and it just say downloading...

Thats the only thing it will say or do is downloading..

or if i scroll down or up and go back to see if it downloaded, and the download button re appeared..

So i i click on the download button again, and just says downloading..

I dont always have that problem though, sometimes when someone send me a pic, i get it instantly without having to download anything..

is there a fix for this or something?

You are not alone with this problem.

I too had it until about 3 months ago.

In my search for an answer I came across quite a few suggestions and possible reasons that my MMS would not work correctly.

One thing I noticed was that sending or receiving MMS's was impossible when I was connected to WiFi.

I contacted my operator, Vodafone UK, who initially told me that the Nexus One did not do MMS!!!

I then received various suggestions about changing my APN settings, splitting the settings in two, one for MMS and another for desfault.

These also did not work.

With the help and encouragement of another forum member from this site, Rusty, I decided to take the, for me, drastic measure of flashing another ROM onto my device... CyanogenMod 6.

It was actually a lot easier than anticipated and came with its own, single, APN for my operator that worked immediately.

For more details of my trials, tribulations and solution, see the thread here (page 8 was my solution):-

Good luck!
