Help MMS Won't Send on First Try

Does anyone else have an issue where a picture message (MMS) will not send on the first try. Sometimes I just need to resend the picture, other times I need to restart my device. Rarely does it work on the first time though.

I always get confused when someone doesn't answer and I realize I never sent the message. Thought it might be GoSMS so I uninstalled that and I am back to stock Messaging app.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
 
unfortunately it's a known issue bud. Does it occur more when your also connected to a wifi network? or in a bad signal area?

I can barely ever send one at my home because of this. It's been this way since launch. I've only used the stock app.

The problem from what i can tell is related to the radios for the most part.
 
i bought a galaxy nexus gsm from google.

i took the att sim card from my old skyrocket and placed it in the galaxy nexus. everything works great except sending text messages.

i am completely stock on the galaxy nexus software. android 4.0.4

whenever i text with a picture attached, it always is stuck on sending and never goes to the sent timestamp. the recipient never recieves the text.

it does this with a text message with picture+text or just texting a picture.

anybody have any ideas. i've rebooted, cleared messaging cache.

is this a phone problem or a carrier problem?

It's not in the VZW forum, but the title was changed it looks like. There is no non-root VZW forum anymore.
 
I asked a mod to merge these two threads since it was determined that this was not just a VZW problem, but rather an Android 4.0.x problem or a Galaxy Nexus problem.

I am going to edit my title to remove the VZW. I hope this gets fixed soon though.
 
Sometimes if I go to sys.apps.all.messaging and clear cache and clear data it will start sending again. It is a hassle and I only have a week of usage on the nexus. I hope it can be fixed.

That app is not compatible with the Galaxy Nexus (at least it's not with mine).
