Help Mobile AP mode & ftp

[eugenejordan]

Hi

Have Galaxy S on 2.2 with t-mobile uk. Cannot ftp when tethered in Mobile AP mode and wondered whether this is carrier related or a 'feature' of the tethering s/w.

Not convinced that carrier is blocking ports as can successfully connect to ftp servers from phone directly (am using AndFTP).

Has anyone else experienced similar?

Thanks

How are you doing the FTP? Are you using an application, or using Windows Explorer?

Am using my regular ftp application which I know to work under normal (non-tethered) circumstances.

Thanks

I have a problem opening attachments using my laptop while tethered. Seems in Hotmail only. Maybe some functions are not avaiable when tethering?
