Mobile data settings?

OK, on my Rezound, I could have data always on, or set to let the phone sleep without turning it off, saving battery life since I wasn't using data constantly. Is there any way on the Maxx to have data on, but let it shut off after some inactivity so I am not wasting battery when I really don't need to?

Battery life is great after I factory reset once I got ICS. No complaints but I figure it's worth a try!

Have you tried setting up smart actions?

Use smart actions. Set it to turn off background data or turn off mobile data when no motion is detected or your screen is off.

Not exactly true.

Background data only turns off network access for BACKGOUND services, not data per se.
