Help Mobile Hotspot Problem

Some pages on the web I can open when connected to the mobile hotspots, some won't like yahoo or yahoo mail unless I tether to the computer. I have tried different browsers on my pc and nothing. Is this happening to anyone else?

I am having the same issue at work but at home its okay can't figure it out.

Yahoo icon client is having issues right now. Moto is looking into it. You may want to download the Yahoo Mail client form Market.

I also have problems loading websites on mobile hotspot... like weather.com and yahoo.com........when I hook it up to usb all the websites work......having some issues with the ip I'm assuming.

All razrs have this problem. From what tech support says, they are working on an update. Just USB tether for now I guess.

Hello, Motorola has now admitted that they have been received calls other than mine about the phones mobile hotspot not working at all. I've had my razr since 11AM last Friday(11-11) and have not been able to get this feature to work. After a couple of frustrating unhelpful visits to the store I ended up spending a hour on the phone first with verizon and then with verizon and motorola tech support in a conference call proving to them that my phone would not broadcast to either my new macbook air or hp laptop.
At that point they finally admitted they were getting complaints from other customers. The ETA they gave me for the fix is no more than two weeks. We'll see... hope its a simple as a firmware fix (that doesn't screw up other things..)
I would say this is a pretty major screw up for Motorola - after all, radios are what they have been doing for decades...
Cheers,
Steve

I am having a similar problem. I cannot connect through hotspot to Yahoo, Netflix, and other sites.

I can connect to Google and other sites flawlessly.

Netflix app won't work on iPad, but will connect through safari on iPad. Weird..

I had to check not broadcast ssid and leave the connection open. It will connect to yahoo mail now.

Do you guys notice that it takes forever after connecting to the hotspot for your laptop to acquire an IP from DHCP? It takes about 5 minutes to do it then I can finally access the web.

I had to try on Friday as my Internet provider was upgrading my link at home and my PC took a few seconds to connect and start working.
