[Android Question]

my Samsung galaxy GT-S5830i will not connect my pc or laptop? it will charge but do nothing else
i have tried using another USB lead but the same thing happends

Could be MTP was unselected and needs to be turned back on (in vanilla Android: Settings .. Storage .. Menu .. USB computer connection).

If not, then it will be drivers.

- disconnect the phone from the computer
- uninstall ALL phone related sofware (i.e. Kies) and drivers from the computer
- restart the computer
- restart the phone

Re-install Kies (I guess your Sammy came with Kies)

Note: do NOT disconnect the phone until ALL drivers have successfully installed
