Mobile web vs mobile app

When I was using FB (I quit, yay!) I used the mobile site. I tried the app a few times and just found the mobile site to better for my needs. It was faster and used far less resources. I had my notifications set for email so never missed anything. I think I tried the app about three times for a total of a week's worth...always went back to mobile as I just thought the app was horrible.

Thats my feeling too, and Twitter the same thing!!!!:D

I use the Twitter app. It's not that bad, compared to FB. I've used the mobile site too, either is fine and I don't really have a preference so just sort of stuck with the app.

The FB mobile site seems is faster and more intuitive performance. Anything else just seems to work better on an actual PC.

Hmm, I appear to be in the minority but I prefer the FB app compared to the mobile site. There was a time when I preferred the site but more recent updates changed my opinion.

As for Twitter, the app sucks and much more so the mobile site. I use Falcon Pro. One of the lucky first 100,000 that got in 😊

If you use the site (I use Yahoo Groups) in the browser, with the browser set as desktop, there is more control and information than the app.

I tried Accuweather, it was on sale. However, the Iphone app includes jet stream maps, and looks like the site on the computer. The Android version only has videos and news. I bookmarked the site in the browser set as desktop and can get that page. The Android version makes me feel like a 2nd class citizen since they left out some of the info on the main site.

I hate the Facebook app,it is very unfriendly to the battery of my note 2,and i also hate that they separated the app with the chat client(messenger). So i got rid of both and use the mobile site.I am quite satisfied with it and have no intention of going back to the apps.In general i also prefer having mobile versions of the site than apps for each of them because that would make a lot of apps.
