whats up peeps? Im in the midst of building my first pc yeah for me!!! So i had a mobo all picked the asus z87 pro than yesterday i was webbing it up and found out the new z97s will be out in a week. After reviewing them i decide on one of two the z97 pro or z97 pro(WiFi_ac) and i dont know what to pick. So im wondering if you guys can help me out and tell me if the 30 dollars price difference is worth it..keep in mind im starting build for a eventual gaming pc..thanks!!

well yeah figured that out with the name...but there are different specs between the two and like i said wondering if there a big huge difference between the two?

Is the MB model just Z97pro or z97pro (WiFi_AC)? Z97 is the chipset designation, MANY manufacturers can build boards with the chipset.

For example (I hope the direct link works) Gigabyte has some, as do Asus, AsRock, MSI. See Newegg for a list of Z97 boards.

I'm partial to Asus, my last 5 builds (between my dad's computer and mine) have been based on Asus boards and only one was replaced out of need due to failure, 4-5 years after it was put in service.

EDIT: Are these the 2 you were looking at? Looks like the only difference is the wireless.

Looks the the wifi one also has Bluetooth 4.0. This is the only difference that I am seeing between those two mother boards unless I am trying to answer the wrong question. Maybe I'm confused or something.

thanks guys!!
mplevy---yes that is ones i am looking at gonna def get asus board there reputation speaks for themselves.

jbutewicz--your answering in the right way.

so i do get pc talk more software guy just learning about the hardware finally gonna build pc ive always wanted. so ive crashed course myself on it between newegg tutorials videos and toms hardware and some random other sites. now im also a more hands on guy so as much as i read up on specs and stuff until i get my hands on it is when ill get whats being said. so i just wanna make sure of things like my add on stuff bay drives and whatever else it is i add on to pc will be compatable with board..dont wanna get caught up in situation where i get something and find out mobo wont support it or have to get adapter or wire to add to pc like ive read in some of the newegg reviews...ultimately just wanna make things go as smoothly as possible on first build.
