just a link... credit goes to RockoDev

don't know about the beats audio part (guess I would need 2 TUs to compare... and headphones > $10) but the xloud works... I used to have to crank up netflix, xiia radio, skype to the max. now at 75% volume my eardrums are hurting

(MOD)Beats Audio(2.3+up)07/02/12 - xda-developers

I flashed the "If you have a SGII or maybe any Samsung download this file "JUST SAMSUNG"( _Sofos_ )" from the "old downloads" section of post #4

don't forget to back up...
I'm using Boost TU. dont know if that matters for this mod/file version I flashed

ok so I flashed the same zip you mentioned and really couldn't hear that much of a difference. that could be becuase I have earbuds from the Dollar General that cost $8. Im sure if you chunked out the $129 for the cheapest Beats headphones you might see a noticeble difference. I also used an aux cable to plug it up t my 1000w suround sound and the gain was so nominal I think it might be a placebo effect of just wanting to hear it.

What actually did happen that i can report is that if you turn the media volume up past 75% it glitches. the music pauses and the volume turns back down to about 75%. Hit play and leave at 75% plays fine, turn volume up happens again. Repeated several times same result so I would say its triping some safety feature meant to keep you from going deaf.

If the point is clear sound then I would suggest the beats headphones or something by Bose.
If (like me) your are trying to get more volume and deeper Bass docking your phone then line output being limited to 75% is an EPIC FAIL.

The install. Standard flash with cwm, it installed in about 5 sec. When I hit reboot screen went blank and it did not reboot. I waited a very long moment and mashed the power button to restart and nothing.
at this point I followed my standard prcedure yanked the battery held the power button replaced the battery and tried again to restart. Nothing. So tried booting into cwm, that worked and i chose reboot system now and it started. (really wasn't impressed at that point) I tested it out and decided to cwm the backup I made before the install.

Not trying to dog this. I would love it if it worked right, hopefully they get it sorted and i will try again.

Just my results and 2cents

I read something about beats audio only being effective with a specific music app but that others would work with it soon too since the sauce was released. It is completely possible you are using a music app not compatible with beats so you would not notice a difference then either..

Sorry you're having issues. mine flashed no problem, with a message in CWM saying that it installed properly. I have no issue with volume resetting at 75%. Like I said above I cant tell if beats changed anything (also using crappy headphones) but volume is definetely louder.

from what i've read this mod replaces your sound driver (or elements of).
are you using a sprint phone? I'm using boost (maybe I should have mentioned that, will edit) maybe they use different drivers?

Boost rooted running Ultra rom and Bobzhome oc kernal.

Im going to read up a bit on the music app thing. It would make alot of sense.

I put the thing about the install last because I figured that was just one of those things that happens sometimes. It installed fine and i got the Rockodev message to. it was the reboot that went strange. I figured I would mention it only on the chance some one else had the same issue and we could get that posted for Rockodev.

The volume issue is definately something on my phone not in the flash or beats. To consistent and only lowers the volume and pauses. The phone gave no signs of something messed up.

I want this to work. Badly. I hope Rocko keeps at it. I have experienced the full beats package on a laptop with the software and beats headphones. its everything they promise.

Hahaha, so I just wanna give my two cents. I didn't try the file "JUST SAMSUNG"( _Sofos_ )" but I can say for the most part is that the two zip files under 7/02/12 and 7/31/12 work too! It barely works but it works!! Before, this one song I was listening to sounded really.... and I mean really flat in the music player, but after flashing 7/2, the highs and lows are more higher and lower and the bass increased a little more! I think this change is just enough for me to drop the RocketPlayer music app, especially since these zips broke it's equalizer function (but a simple restore fixes it ^-^) If I increase the volume from 1 to 2, it sounds like the audio quality on my iPod! <333 amazing!

I can hear a different on Spotify. I have sony ear buds from walmart that were like 15$ and theres more bass and its more clear. Samsung Transform Ultra w/ CTMod 3.7.0
