Help Model Name is Changed!!

Guys,


I recently flashed my GT-I5801 to Froyo from Eclair. The firmware Version is XXX JPF. I made changes so that My boot logo remains the same and everything worked fine. But after the update when i go into Settings- About Phone I see the Model of my phone as GT-I5800.. Is this to be expected?? Or any ways to fix this? Please give me a solution.

Don't worry, I guess it's because you flashed a I5800 rom, but your phone is still 5801

Okay, your phone is actually now branding an i5800 model # and firmware. Flashing from i5801 to i5800 is harmless, however, backwards flashing is not really a good idea.

From now on, when you flash with odin, put the i5800 ops file in, and say protect OPS.

But to be honest, I wouldn't worry much.
