Can I flash a modem to my phone I tried today but it said that there was an error so I re downloaded it twice and still the same thing or do I have to use Odin on the computer I don't have Mobile Odin and my computer is screwed up right now

You can only use the TW JB modems like GB27 or GC01 etc. If you are on GB27 then there is no point of doing GC01 (they are basically the same).

Well all I know I is when I flashed it this is what showed up and it looks to be EL29 modem installed.....;)

I am on fl24 cause that is what I was on when I was on slim bean I flashed rom and kernal and the modem would not flash

Something woulr be a bit messed up. running a non JB modem on a TW JB ROM would bork 3g

Yep your right, I don't use 3g at all just turned off 4g and no data, interesting, that's strange because I hadn't updated the modem at all, cool thanks man...........:D

My 3g is not working good but I am at home on Wi-Fi but I need to flash the right modem can I flash one straight to my phone or do I have to use odin

My connection optimizer is not working it keeps force closing and I have to turn it off it will run down my battery

Cool gad you got your modem working. I don't use the connections optimizer. It turns on WiFi looking to connect to much, and is wasting power. I prefer to manually control that.

No problem glad to have helped. Samsung did change a few things when their JB release came out and that was one. I do know that part of the vision upgrade is supposed to allow for seamless transition between 4g and 3g (allowing you to keep the same IP). Which would allow you to avoid the drop out of data when going in and out of 4g coverage, allowing 3g to pickup right where 4g left off etc.
