Modify Samsung Galaxy Icons

haworth

Just bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket - just learning it.
Is it possible to either modify one of the existing icons or create a new one from an uploaded jpg. I would like to use a photo (using Photoshop) of an antique phone to replace the phone handset icon.

Not that I know of but not been using the Galaxy S2 that long either. However, you can install one of the launcher replacement apps such as Go Launcher which allows you to change icons and styles.

Welcome to AF haworth:D

You could try Desktop VisualizeR market link

If that doesn't work how you want, using a 3rd party launcher may be a good option for you.

If you really want to keep the stock launcher the last option I can think of if the others don't work is rooting the phone and editing the files in the system apps would be a last resort but if you are new to the phone I would try both other options first.
