Help Moment Awake Time above 90%

I am using adv task manager not adv task killler, seperate programs and i kill adv task manager everytime after i use it. and with adv task manager when you kill it, it does not restart, I have check this with other task managing programs to verify it is not running in the background.

My battery life is fine. It last all day, everyday for me. My meter is still a little off, but I can't stay up late enough to do a full drain anymore, last time it took me until 3:30am to drain it and I was punishing it for like 3 hours to drain the battery.

Ahh i misread what you put sorry man thought you put other again sorry.

Im glad to hear that it the battery last all day I will be coming over to a moment from a pre and i need a battery that can last with me txting and looking at some apps.

My spare parts usage other doesn't seem to change. It seems like it should start anew if you plug into power and then unplug.

I guess I figured out that you need to back out of the display page and then back in to be able to see recalculated percentages.

I just did it for a quick couple of minutes off the charger 16% running and 2% screen on. Read that the partial awake screen shows programs that are preventing sleeping. Mine shows Android System, Google Apps, Moxier Mail and Dialer as "Wakelock"

I was seeing 100.00% percent "running" time consistently in spare parts app. Never less. Couldn't figure out what app was causing it. Did a factory reset and now it is rectified. Unfortunately I had many apps installed so it's tough to speculate which was the culprit. I SUSPECT however that it was the gps tracker which responds to a secret codeword in a text message. Am looking forward to testing out battery life now as the phone was previously unable to make it through an 8 hour shift at work sitting in my pocket completely unused!

A tip is to reinstall one app at a time to see which one was keeping the phone from sleeping. It's a bit of a pain but will work for sure.

With Advanced Task Killer installed I just managed a 36 hour battery run.

I just did about the same. Maybe 38-40 hours, and it was only down to 25% battery when I put it back on the charger. Granted, this was with very light usage--only a few short phone calls, a few texts, maybe a total of 30 min of internet access, and then checking Spare Parts battery history every few hours--but the same level of usage before the update and while I had Battery Left installed would only give me 8-10 hours of life before. This was with everything turned on except bluetooth. GPS, WiFi, background data sync were all turned on.

Before this long run I spent a few days using ATK to pay attention to what apps would start themselves up to run in the background, and removing those that I could live without. For example, CNet's Scan and Shop appears to start up periodically, I assume it is so it can get your location and not have to wait for the GPS while you are running the app. Since I'm using Zefie's kernel I have root access so I also removed some of the Sprint apps that I never use. It's only been a few days so I haven't ruled out it just being a quirk, but so far the phone seems to be running great for me after these changes.

I get 99.9% runtime.

Only apps I have installed are Google Sky, My Tracks, Google Voice, Twidroid, Pandora, and spare parts.

I have Twidroid and Google Voice set to refresh only on my command.

I disabled both wireless and GPS location and now my runtime and my screen on times are nearly identical.

I can live with this if is solves the problem of the phone never really sleeping. I can just turn on GPS when I need it.

To those of you turning off wireless GPS location but leaving the "real" GPS on, the wireless setting should, in theory, use much less battery power than using real GPS would.

Had same issue. Uninstalled the app weather widgets donate, and have been sleeping like a drank a 1.5 liter of Jack Daniels

I used to use task killer, but I found more use of battery. Just because the task killer says the task/tasks are shut down there is a good chance they app will restart. A lot of the apps are co dependent. There are days my battery will last the whole day, and there are others that the battery will only last till lunch. Im not sure the reason, but i found using handcent sms, and panda home, my battery life has actually lasted longer then the stock home app, and sms.
