Help Moms audio

Hello all new here and need a little help when I receive a mms message I receive the picture but the audio will not play I know im getting it cause when I forward to wife's phone it playing. I am rooted and running tazzfroyo v23 I was on kaosfroyo v38 and switched to see if the problem was rom related but no go. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

I'm pretty sure that this is a known issue with the Froyo Eris ROMs. Try running xtrSENSE or xtrROM instead if this functionality is important to you.

Seriously, I think that the fix is to run a ROM built with the same HTC frameworks as stock Eris, like xtrSENSE or xtrROM or xtrRCMix. However, maybe one of the beta Sense 2.2 ROMs would be worth a try, like this one: [ROM][BETA]Tenzo2.2.1 - Froyo-Sense, Cache2Cache, Wifi, GPS, CFSv8[11-21-10] - xda-developers

Note that they have issues of their own: the camera doesn't work, for example. See this post for a list of what works and what doesn't.
