[Android Question]

I have a Samsung mini galaxy provider is asda it has been eating my money up for the last few weeks, I have bn in touch with them and they say that I have turned the internet off cause I don't use it but the back ground is still on how do I stop this

Suggest that you turn off autosync (rotating arrows symbol in the top toolbar.) And/or you can go to

menu button
system settings
accounts - pick the account type, then the account itself

and select whether/what to sync for each account separately. I would add that the biggest culprits are often Facebook and other social networks.

You can also just turn mobile data off completely in the network settings. However, if you turn it on to look something up then other stuff will sync if it is set to do so, so I would follow Roger's advice. Also check the settings of individual apps to play safe.
