Help More ram and 802.11n standard

Hello.

I have a Flytouch 3, disco 10, android 2.2.
1) Can I somehow upgrade the ram from 512 Mb to something higher?
2) Can I use the 802.11n standard for better wifi-connection?

Thanks, kkr1669.

A1/ No, the RAM is soldered onto the system board with no provision to fit more.

A2/ No, the internal module is b/g. You can fit an external b/g/n USB wifi module but it appears that there are no n drivers installed, however an external module should improve the range/throughput of the wifi.

You could replace the internal wifi. You would need to make sure you used a compatible WiFi adapter. But the ram is not something that could be replaced. Even if you did want to try a monstrous de-solder then replace and re-solder there is no way of knowing if the system could even see or use the new ram.

Hello.

OK, thanks both.
Thats a shame............can somebody find a technical solution??? :) that would be great. On the ram problem I mean.

What 'RAM problem'??

it wont fit... and if it did, it probably wouldn't work, and if it did, it wouldn't make any difference to the tablets (rather lack-luster) performance.

This is Android... not Windows 7. It is a single tasking environment, it doesn't need 2GB to hold all the bloatware, it doesn't need Terabytes of hard disk space to hold stupidly large software files.

The FT3 is what it is..... a cheap, medium performance, Chinese tablet with a mediocre screen and a dodgy firmware.

it's much like the Xbox mod to increase memory. People padi big bucks to have it done, or burned up a few good boxes trying it. Only to find out that games and dashboards couldn't use it anyway. Only a Linux install could take advantage of it.

I think even at 256M the systems out there still run fine.
