I am looking to find a better email app. My main email account is Cox, so I configured it as a POP3 account within the

Yea that's an IMAP only thing. You could always just forward your cox mail to gmail. That's what I did with my AOL mail and I've found I like gmail a whole lot better so that's the email address I use primarily now. Also, you could try MailDroid. I always found it WAYYYY better than the stock and k9.

Yep. POP accounts are very simple as they're really old tech. There are no folders on the server and you can't sync with the server. There's just a message store that your client app connects to to retrieve messages. The only option that your clients have is whether they leave mail on the server as they fetch it or if they delete it off the server as they fetch it. The limitation isn't the email app -- it's your POP account.

To sync folders you will have to use IMAP.
Or ActiveSync.

Oh!
Thanks to all for the input.
Sounds like:
- I need to see if I can configure as IMAP, npt POP3
- maybe "forward your cox mail to gmail"
- try MailDroid.
Thanks again
