Most apps do not include a manual. How do we learn how to use the apps?

Hi, I am a new Android user. I have purchased a few apps. I found that almost all of them do not have a manual nor even a help screen. How can I learn how to use the apps? I sent an email to a developer after purchasing their app. It has been a few days but no answer. Thanks.

Some of the more complex ones have information on the dev's website. Otherwise, if there's no help screen the dev presumably reckons they are self-explanatory.

I generally poke through the settings to see what options there are, and go from there.

For example, I bought the HDR Camera+. There are many settings. I have no idea what they mean. There is no manual nor help from the developer.

Most apps are designed to be simple enough they can be figured out by going through the settings and/or just fooling around. Some do have help built-in, others may have websites with instructions or even a user forum. Just depends on the app and effort by the developer. And of course a Google search often can answer questions.

Is that why the apps are usually much cheaper than softwares for the PC? I was so surprised to find that the costs are so low!

Some apps have ads which allows them to be very cheap or mostly free. Some apps have in-app purchases, so you end up spending money as you use the app. This generally applies to games.

With regard to your earlier questions, perhaps you should pose specific questions about the app in the Application forum. People there who use that app can help you out more with your questions.

In general, I find apps to be rather easy to use without a manual. The UI is designed to make it easy for users to use the app. Some more complex apps may have a help feature that sends you to the web page link or have help files within the app. Another way to find some info on the app is to look at the app's description in Google Play. I find that the description sometimes gives tips on how to use it or how it is suppose to work if it isn't obvious enough.
