Root most basic custom rom

Yeah, I've never used Harmonia but it's advertised as "what a stock ROM should've been". No extra theming whatsoever; just some added performance and features.

Well I have used 3 different ROMs. All have been great. I wasn't going to move off the OEM ROM, since it worked for me and the custom ROMs mostly offer style, not features.

I have never been disappointed that I switched. Harmonia and Mobsters ROM are both stable and offer a lot of minor additions that really add up.

I liked CM7 on the Triumph, so I am not a Sense fan. Mobsters ROM mostly removes Sense. I have only been using it for a few days, but I suspect it will be my daily ROM.

From my experience you can't go wrong.

My suggestion would be to flash each and play with them for a few hours, pick your favorite and do your real setup on that one. I have used each ROM for a month, and loose settings and data every switch. IMHO you're better off to not get quickly attached to a ROM and do all your customizations. It's nice to give them all a chance, but that's hard to do if you never get to see them all.

When you say that Sense is mostly removed from Mobsters ... could you briefly describe what's left?

I love stock Android and can't stand when manufacturers force you to use their crap, would gladly switch to a custom ROM if I could get rid of Sense. But if it still has most of the same annoyances then I might just stick with stock for now.

edit:

Nevermind, I've watched a video of it. I think I'll just give it a try after I backup. :)

basically all the visual sense features from sense are removed but it is still based on the stock sense... you wont really see much of the sense features at all and anything that is left is just a minor thing that shouldn't affect you at all... here are the screenshots from the mobster rom v thread..

I like Sense on my phone, hate it on my tablet. I like meanROM as a "Sense but faster with goodies" type ROM. Also another vote for harmonia as an option.
