Most Boring Phone Ever?

I love my phone!

I will say I played with the HTC one m8 today. That dot light bright case is kinda cool. And the phones are buy one get one free and 30 % off with promo code verizon30.

Alas, it's only got 2gbs of ram and wasn't much faster than my maxx.

Just wish we had more cases and accessories....

I kinda miss all the rooting and flashing of roms. But still, it's really nice that everything just works. I miss tethering and Titanium backup. I should have rooted back when I was still on 4.2.

I still love the battery life. Even with all the nice new phones coming out, nothing can lure me away from my Droid Maxx and it's amazing battery life.

I just hope Motorola will continue making Maxx's, even under Lenovo's ownership.

I said the same thing on another forum. This is the best phone out there. Fast, reliable and still learning new things it will do especially with the voice activation. This is more like what the Bionic was supposed to be only much better. Great job Moto.

I think forum activity is driven by problems. Lack of activity = few problems.

This is the BEST phone I have ever used.

Agree 100%. I haven't been here much lately because this is where I came to find answers and solutions to problems quickly. No need with this phone. Solid stock, bumper case only with screen protector. I no longer obsess with waiting for the next OS upgrade. Updates through the play store are terrific. I do come back just because I miss you guys. :smokingsomb:

The M8 is way too tall -- it's 10mm taller than the Droid Maxx. Plus it's a full 20g heavier, which is crazy considering the battery is about 75% of the capacity. I do like that it has a micro SD card slot and the IR blaster is a nice feature. That camera though is a total gimmick. Overall, it's a nice enough phone but I'm still very happy with my Maxx.

Too long, maybe, but I think you have the weight wrong. The specs I've seen say 160 g for the M8, vs. 167 g for the Maxx, though. (The VZW site says the M8 is 5.64 oz vs. 5.86 oz for the Maxx.)

Huh, that does make more sense. I got the weight of the Maxx from Engadget here: Motorola DROID MAXX specs - Engadget

Engadget says it weighs 4.94 ounces, which according to Google equals 140 grams.

I just weighed it myself, and got 5.8 ounces, which equals 164 grams. My scale is not super-accurate though, so the 167 g figure is probably correct. Thanks.
