Root Most Stable Froyo ROM

Sorry to be out of the loop, but what is the most stable Froyo ROM now for Droid ERIS? I have an old ERIS laying around that is not used as a phone, but I just want it for music playback, as well as setting up as a VOIP phone. That being said, I do not need the extra functionality of GB, and I just want a Froyo ROM that is stable and fast as possible! I am willing to give up extra functions/etc, as long as it is the most stable and quick ROM possible (even willing to give up battery life - this phone will be plugged in at home 95% of the time). Any suggestions?

everyone will have their favorites for different reasons, and actually they all worked well for me.

what i ended up staying with for froyo was CELB. its a pure cyanogen rom without any other developer tweeks. it was smooth and very stable for me.

dont discount gingerbread, however. if your afrter battery life, gingerbread is alot "smarter" than froyo about killing off background apps wich can definately equal better battery life.

the current versions of GingerShedBread are exceptionally fast, smooth, and stable. IMO better than any of the froyo roms ive used. its developer has gone thru the hassle of being approved and officially supported by cyanogen mod,and hes put alot of effort into it. id highly reccomend trying it even if you dont think you "need" it :D

Yes, at this point I think that GSB (and probably Ginger Tazz, though I haven't used it) are further along than the Froyo CM ROMs.

But, to answer the question, I think that any of the Froyo ROMs are just fine. Kaos Froyo has not been updated in a while, and I think requires a patch after installing the latest version, but CELB, Nonsensikal, FroShedYo, Tazz - all are very good.
