I'm just wondering what the most stable ROM is to put on a friend's phone. I don't want to jump to a final conclusion without other opinions. I mean I jump from ROM to ROM a lot, but I don't positively know which one is the most stable. I'd like to know which one has the least amount of glitches, annoyances, and is somewhat easy. I mean Velocity 1.2 is good put the stupid package files not signed correctly can be annoying and its a hassle, Stormdroid 1.2.1 is also pretty good except for I had some app problems, but I wasn't sure if it was the ROM or not. Swiftkey just kept force closing and Titanium Backup would go to batch mode. Bionic Zer0 looks good so far, as the app problems are resolved but it has a different theme feel so I don't know if my friend will like that, and when you reboot the phone, I had all of my apps I had installed not be in the app drawer when I rebooted it and to open an app I had to open it from the android market, and to get an app back in the app drawer it would have to be updated or reinstalled. This caused me to wipe my phone again and reflash. Lastly, Overstocked is the most basic and stock looking ROM but its a beta, and that scares me a bit and makes me wonder if I should flash that, as well as the fact that wireless tether doesn't work. So I'm just asking, what is the most stable ROM? Thanks.

1. StormDroid issues may be due to a bad flash. It happens. I have not had those issues.
2. Overstocked says beta, but is extremely stable, and perfectly reliable for a daily driver.
3. Bionic zer0 has only been out for a day or so, needs more testing.
4. Velocity 1.2 is good, but there is no support for it anymore. I mean, we can help kind of, but the main devs are gone.

As for the most stable ROM overall, i would have to say either stormdroid or OS. They do not derive from stock in too large a way, and have been tested extensively. I'm sure zer0, after a little more testing and patches will be just as gret.
Hope this helped!

It seems a lot of our og devs have stopped developing all together. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I haven't seen or herd anything from trident or savoxis. I believe death2all is still with us. thankfully we have some really awsome new talent. Just makes me wonder how our old devs are doing and what they've been up to. Any one herd anything about those guys?

Ive been watchen tridents github and/or other repos, look likes hes been on either another project for another device or software , taking a break from dev scene or just moving on. Trident = unknown
Savoxis still provides for the velocity script and helped released (was the releaser) of velocity 1.2 and seems to want to continue his efforts but doesnt have the ability to without a device.
Gnm, unknown status. He still works on the recoveries but keeps to himself.
Death is working on his own as well it looks like providing help when needed, last i knew; He was in the Enlighten section working on a custom recovery for them.

We are the new era for the ally, we may have our own dev group however, we have good connections with each other and help and provide for one-another.
Others tend to keep to themselfs and hide their work. But seems some people are greedy for new android software on their device, would seem to be the best.

I dont plan on leaving ally community untill i see gingerbread upgrade available to use, altho i have the ability to grab the droid4 soon as its out and say toodles but i perfer to stay and help.

U guys are awsome no doubt about it. I gotta give it to u rgocal, bionic 0 is sweet! Just out of curiosity R, what part of PA u from?

Remicks ur probably right. They've figured out how to temporarily freeze sence on the rezound and I've herd it frees up a ton of ram on the system

I was watchen a build of sense for the nook color. Why i got interested but that will probably be the case
