Help motion 4g how to clear partition cache?

TRMDan

Lurker
Rooted. on D firmware.

Want to clear the partition cache, can't seem to find out how. There doesn't seem to be a recovery mode for the 4G to do it from.

Also would like to try a second method to clear the davlik cache. Did it with root explorer > data > davlik and deleted everything in the folder. After reboot, it optimized applications. But I would like to do it when Android isn't running.

Sidenote: reason for this is trying to resolve a problem where FoxFi says it's on, but no SSID is being broadcast. 4G Mobile Hotspot app also stuck at "Wi-Fi turning on". Been working for a year and this came out of the blue.

1) since your rooted you can install a rebooter app
something like rebooter from Playful God or Quickboot from Goggle playstore,
Get into recovery and do a Nandroid CWM restore to ext sd, You Should save a copy anyway.
( as a Recovery and something to look at on you PC later to see what caused this)
Then you can wipe your cashes.
OR
2) You can install the 2ndinit recovery and pretty much and do this also.

I would suggest a Factory Reset (anyway) if that doesn't help you out.
