Help Motion sensor turns on and off

Anyone else having this problem where the motion sensor turns on and off by itself. One sec it'll be working on and the next its not. But if I restart the phone it'll start working again. Please help!

Mine seems fine, might be a hardware fault?

mine doesnt even turn on....i leave it on my bed and turn on and off by itself... and im not even close to it....so is a feature i basically dont have

I do not see how the sensor could be designed to be on all the time as this would consume a lot of power. I think it will time out to conserve.

You know what I realize I dont think its on all the time ...I think it only checks right before the screen is about to blackout ...I realize because the eye pops up checks and then it turns off...

but during the even they said it knows when your looking and when it doesnt i was expecting picking the phone up and screen turns on

So is there anyway to keep the motion sensor on at all times? I'm switching over from an iphone and I have never had this issue before where it works sometimes and sometimes not
