Moto Assist and 3rd party texting

Anyone having issues with Assist reading texts with a 3rd party app? I use Go SMS and when driving, assist realizes I am in the car but if I get a text it just comes in as normal and does nothing else.
 
Same here with Handcent...although I have yet to find anyone who can get the text messages read. I turned off Handcent today to test but of course never received any text messages while I was driving...figures =)

Also the meetings setting doesnt seem to work. All my Exchange appointments in my calendar marked as busy do not turn off notifications
 
Update...just had my kids text me as a test. The app works fine with third party apps running as long as the stock app is running in the background.
