I had my droid sitting in a drawer and decided to put it to some use. I installed 'IP Webcam' for a driveway monitor, and worked perfectly for a day.
However after a bit it seems to not recognize being plugged into power via the cable, and just runs off battery until it's dead. You can plug/unplug the cable and just does not see power. If you reboot it, it's fine for a bit.
I am using the Motorola cell phone mount for it when set up as a camera. This is the one with the magnet to trigger 'car mode'. Is this perhaps possibly triggering the strange power issues?
I have tried 2 different USB power adapters. a Palm one, and a Apple one both with the same results.
It does have a ROM installed, 'simply stunning' v5.6.
I also removed Set CPU, as well as most all other applications just to eliminate issues.
