I keep having to forget my home wifi then connect to it again, it's super annoying. Does this happen to anyone else? how do you fix this problem?

my phone will show that im connected to my home wifi, but i wont be able to go on the internet. I'll check my laptop and I'll still be able to use the internet. I know there's something wrong with my modem, but I still don't understand why I wont be able to use the internet on my phone but I'll be able to use my laptop. the only way to fix it is to make my phone forget my wifi then reconnect.
