Moto G not reading any files

Since I installed Marshmallow yesterday, my phone isn't reading my internal SD card. And when I connect the phone to my computer and use Windows Explorer, the SD Card folder is completely empty.

However, the SD card is NOT empty. When I go to Settings/Storage & USB in the phone itself, it says that 23.05GB out of 29.49GB are being used on the SD card. And the files all appear. But the phone isn't reading the files. And my music app (Gone Mad Music Player) isn't reading the files either.

I have rebooted both the phone and my computer, but it made no difference.

Any idea what's going on and how to fix it? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, Thom.

I didn't do anything at all after "upgrading." But I did fix the problem. I reformatted my SD card, copied all the files back onto it, and now Marshmallow is happy. I have no idea why I needed to do that. A real pain, but everything is working now.
