Moto g power color schemes

Why did motorola use a useless update to the g power phone that offers up colors and Moto m with it which lasts at least 30 seconds while trying to startup.

i'm sure there was more to just that in the update.most likely it was also a security update. and just to be sure, you are talking about the boot screen? and the logo changed....yes?
