Moto G8 touchscreen unresponsive

[johns phone is broke]

worked thought the morning, no drops today, no water damage, no big drops either. tried forcing a restart, didnt help, cant launch in safe mode because it would require screen interaction, wipe all data on phone to factory defaults, screen is still unresponsive. bought through amazon from official seller without warranty about 5 months ago, no other issues had. an ideas?

were you doing anything at the time? this happened just out of the blue? not sure on moto phones, never owned one. but there has to be a way to get a firmware update you can flash to the phone.

just make sure you flash the correct firmware for your phone. the wrong one could make your situation worse.

sideloading keeps pulling up as error 21 E:footer is wrong

did some more digging and found there was a repair tool i could use, it reflashed for me but the screen is still unresponsive.

it just came out, maybe you can return it for a new one as this one seems broke.
