Help Moto smart actions replacement?

Coming from my Motorola razr to the nexus 5 and I miss the smart actions app. For example, Helped switch ringer off at certain times under certain circumstances,
Or went to vibrate and switched off with when I arrive at work.
eg/ if I was at home after a certain time and when phone was on charge then and only then, if those 3 conditions were met, would the ringer would go silent.

Is there any other apps that do this?

I know about tasker but have never tried, does it do the same where you have to meet a number of criteria before an action will kick in?

I tried condi but it is only one criteria at a time (that I could see) and that's no use, as phone going silent, for example, if I'm not in house & out having a late night is no use etc

I haven't done this, but you could get some nfc tags and use one of various apps to program modes based upon the nfc tag.

Tasker was the program I've heard people use to do that, it's changed it's name to trigger. I keep meaning to do this but just haven't got around to it.

Personally I use Tasker which can require a bit of effort to set up, but offers a great deal of functionality.
You can download a 7 day trial of Tasker from the dev's website http://tasker.dinglisch.net/ which will let you explore its capabilities fully.

Some examples of profiles I use with Tasker:
- reduce ringer volumes when at work
- switch to silent mode when charging at home at night unless a whitelisted caller rings
- text my girlfriend when I leave work
- read text messages when driving

+1 for Tasker. Unless Smart Actions had some system level capabilities as part of the ROM, I'd have a hard time believing there's anything Smart Actions can do that Tasker can't. That said, I imagine Tasker has a steep learning curve compared to Smart Actions.

+1 for tasker. That coupled with the free Tasker app factory is sweeeeeeet! create your own APKs and install those APKs on your other devices, without having to install tasker
