Help Moto X 2013 no longer recognizing dock

Hello.

My Moto X 2013 (4.4.4 - no root) is no longer recognizing the OEM Desk Dock. When I place the phone on the dock, it still charges, but no longer goes to Daydream.

This just started within the last two or three days.

Any suggestions other than doing an FDR?

Did you get a new cover?

I found this: " The dock accepts my phone with a case on it so that's a big bonus. The phone doesn't recognize it as a dock so if you want to use the daydream feature you have to set it to activate when charging. "

Well, this got me thinking...

No, I didn't get a new cover. I have the same cover I've had on the phone since November 2013.

In the past, I've noticed that depending where the phone is positioned it reacts differently on the dock. I did try changing the position of the phone with no success. After I read your post, I removed the case and then put the case back on. The phone is now entering Daydream when on the dock. Let's see how long this lasts.
