Did I get screwed or did they just make a mistake when refurbing the device?
It was listed as being brand new and appeared to be so and was in a new, sealed factory box.

I have read that if the wrong radio firmware is flashed, the IMEI will be zero, is it possible that this phone was refurbed wrong or did they try to take an AT&T phone and flash it as a Verizon phone?

Dude put a custom rom on it, that will solve the software issues. As far as the IMEI goes, I'm drawing a blank as the last phone I had with IMEI issues was a Huawei Fusion 2, and I had to dick around with radio basebands with that.
