Moto X Pricing

Read somewhere that the estimated cost difference between assembled in the US vs. elsewhere was only a few dollars. Not like the guy making $10/hour take 3 hours to assemble.

I don't buy that. Employ the same amount of people at $10/hr vs China at $1/day and you tell me that costs aren't going to be more expensive?

I cannot speak for this, but I work at Allison Tranmission and they were outsourcing some of our stuff because it was cheaper to make. Then they found out that with shipping cost and other things it was close to the same price, so I understand that it might be a little more expensive but not what you probably expect.

People are crazy if they think something assembled in the USA is going to be cheap. Sorry, we have this thing called minimum wage here, but I'd be willing to bet there is a union behind the workers aswell.

Thus, even higher prices.

Union? In Texas? :P Doubtful for that kind of job here.

Actually, Texas is has many Unions. They are on the upswing of Union members while the rest of the US is going down. This is from the BLS.

Mainly from people I know working its the Teachers and Office workers. Usually don't see a lot otherwise.

On topic though I was hoping to get a pair of these around Christams but if it doesn't drop some don't see that happening.

Does retail prices ever drop? Our do you mean the contract price?
Seeing that I'm staying with ATT anyway, I wouldn't mind picking it up for $100, when it gets there - I just hope ATT will let me pass on 4g lte upgrades/charges. 3g is just fine fire what I do online
