Moto X very odd issue

Hi, I have this moto x pure edition, and it currently is running marshmallow on Verizon. It is not rooted. It has been working fine up until recently where it has gotten some weird issues. It all started after one day I turned on my phone and a notification popped up and said something like "Android.process.acore has stopped working". Any way, now the home button does not work, there is no camera shortcut on the lock screen, and there's no ringer volume. In order for me to go back to the home screen I either have to press the multitasking button, and then the home button will work, or the back button all the way to the home screen. I've tried factory reset, but the button option in settings is a ghost button and can't be pressed. Any ideas?

If a factory reset won't work, it's time to call Motorola. The phone has been out for less than a year, and they should honor the warranty and fix your phone. It will likely need a reflash of the operating system... sounds like your OS has become corrupted.
