Motoblur registration / bypass while abroad (Roaming)

OK, so I'm in a bit of a pickle here....

I'm in Japan now, and the good news is that the Atrix works with Softbank!

Bad news: I had to factory reset my phone and I cannot get back in. I only have access to WiFi via a portal that requires a signon. As you know, the Atrix requires a Motoblur account to start and here's the issue.

1) Since I'm roaming with Softback, and the phone defaults to no data roaming, then I must use WIFI for the inital setup. I have not found a way to enable data roaming before bypassing Motoblur registration.

2) The wifi access points require a signon. I can attach, but I have to go to a web page to have access. But the Atrix won't let me load a webbroswer before the registration.

What do I do? I heard rumors of press 4 corners... that does nothing. SO far I can only place emergency calls (which I assume are NOT 911 in Japan) and setting wifi and APN.

Help! :(

So, I'm back in the US. I found NO solution but once back in the US the phone was quickly registered. I find this issue could have been disastrous if it had happened earlier in the week when I landed! Let's hope there's something more obvious that I missed.

Word to the wise: DON'T FACTORY RESET YOUR PHONE WHILE ABROAD! At least with my iPhone I was able to re-activate using iTunes.

Motorola Level2 Tech Support (my issue/case# 120315-004668) said that this particular device (Atrix) is designed to be used in the U.S. only (although one of the first things displayed upon booting the device displays the words "World Phone"..I guess, by this they meant the users of this smart phone device can place calls to any country in the world from within U.S. - perhaps from Motorola's perspective this is considered to be a major technological breakthrough ???).

I worked around a similar problem a few days ago, I didn't have to go to a website to log on to wi fi though, so this may not apply to your case... Anyway, I just put back the AT&T sim card, set up the wi fi connection, turned phone off, changed sim card, then turned it on again, entered my motoblur username & password and voila, phone worked.
