Motocast is ticking me off...

OK, great idea, and having access to files is nice. But it creates a whole new directory tree under downloads, instead of doing the smart thing and moving files where they would make sense on the Razr. Like, of I don't know, putting synced MUSIC in the MUSIC folder?!

And for some reason, it keeps syncing to internal storage, not to the SD card (yes, changed settings under memory to the SD being the preferred location). So, I constantly have to keep moving files off the internal SD to the external SD. This also limits what I can download, lest the internal gets full.

This app is great in idea, needs major refinement in execution.

I do not like the integration and prefer Zumocast on the D3, since it does not integrate with other media. Motocast seems more intrusive and a resource hog than Zumocast. I may install Zumocast and see if it works and then just avoid the Motorola stock gallery and music app that uses Motocast.

No likey.

Does zumocast have better customization? Whet can you get it (I didn't see in market)?

There was a link for it on the main page of Phandroid, a week or two ago. I found it two days ago. I would install now, but do not have Zumocast open (only Motocast ATM) on my computer at home.

I do NOT like Motocast. Not only does it seem intrusive, it crashes and reboots the Razr. I just tried some more vids and got a crash. Using same content as my Droid 3, but Big Lebowski just smacked the Razr into a sudden crash and auto reboot. I have doen a lot of stress tests to crash the Razr, but nothing worked until Motocast.

Of course, I could have the same crash with Zumocast on the Razr, since previous use was the Droid 3 and Thrive (it works on it).

Motocast is more tricky, since you have to activate the device, but do not have to with Zumocast. Zumocast just works and does not try to act like the Borg and assimilate.
