Help Motorla Defy reboots itself

Searched and didn't find an answer.

My Motorola Defy occasionally reboots itself, maybe one a week that I know of. Only noticed when off the charger, never when I'm using it.

Any ideas?

Mine was doing the same thing and locking up every once in a while--- took it in to the T-Mobile store and when they saw what it was doing, they sent me a new phone---

Seen reboot issue on many forums. A recent post on the developer's forum notes that some Defys are apparently shipping with batteries which are a tiny bit too short causing them to "jiggle" against their contacts, essentially causing the phone to reboot, not just go off. The solution was to put a single layer of electrical tape on the battery end opposite the contacts. They actually measured the battery proving there was a difference.
